Meet Vanessa!
Hi Everyone!
I’m Vanessa, but almost everyone calls me Ness. I’m the Senior groomer here at Off the Leash, and have been committed to the craft here in Attleboro (where all of the best dogs are) for 16 years and counting.
I’m a graduate from Rhode Island college and more importantly, The Connecticut School of Dog Grooming.
My professional Pedigree includes certifications in Pet First Aid and CPR as well as AKC Safe Handling and Salon Safety and Sanitation. I am a registered member of both the New England Pet Grooming Professionals and the National Dog Groomers Association of America. I am also AKC certified for Poodle and Bichon grooming and Skin Science Certified from IVES San Bernard USA.
When I’m not playing with scissors, I’m probably lost in the pages of a good book. You can also find me in the garden, at the beach or camping out at a music festival with my family. I’ve got a green thumb for exotic plants, a passion for big waves and an ear for good jams.
See you in the tub!

Meet Becca!
Hi furiends!
My name is Rebecca (Becca for short). I have been working at Off The Leash since 2014 and I have gained so many furry furiends that have filled my heart with so much love. In 2021 I decided to pursue Grooming full time along side Vanessa and I couldn’t be more thrilled and excited!
After High school I attended the Community College of Rhode Island for two years then transferred to Becker College. At that time I majored in Animal Care as well as being an All American Soccer star! Soccer has always been a huge part of me. I laced up the cleats at 5 years old and I currently still play now! After College I decided to stick with what I love, which is everything and anything DOG!
I received my certificate in Grooming with Animal Behavior College (ABC). Every dog that I am lucky enough to groom will be treated and loved like they are my very own! Some of you may know my little girl… I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Nugget! She has been along side me since I started here at OTL. She is my best furiend and has turned me into “the crazy Corgi lady” that I am today! :)
Grooming is not only baths and hair cuts to me. It is more of an art that is always beautiful. The ability to give your dog that “Fresh out of the Salon feel” makes me so happy, oh… and all the puppy kisses too!
Meet Sarah!
Hi World!
My name is Sarah and I recently joined the wonderful team of groomers at Off The Leash in September of 2023! When I was little, I wanted to grow up to be a dog. When I found out that wasn’t possible, I decided that the next best thing would be dedicating my life to them. So that’s exactly what I did!
At Norfolk County Agricultural High School I enrolled in their Canine Science program. Shortly before the end of my senior year, I attended the National Specialty for Nederlandse Kooikerhondjes. Have you heard of them? I won Best in Show with my best friend, champion and trick dog extraordinaire, Charlie Brown! In 2019 I graduated with an award for my achievements in the field of canine science. The following year Charlie and I were invited to attend the prestigious Westminster Dog Show in New York City as well as the National Championship Dog Show in Florida. It was also at that time I welcomed home my second best friend, another Kooikerhondje named Lucy.
With those two by my side, I saw that through hard work and dedication, the sky was the limit. I enrolled in the Paragon School of Pet Grooming to fine-tune my skill set and decided to pursue a career as a groomer. After working in a corporate salon for more than 2 years and grooming medically-complicated and “behaviorally challenged” dogs at the VCA, I have found a new home here at Off the Leash.
Although I didn’t grow up to be a dog, this is definitely the next best thing. I love every part of my dog-filled life and wouldn’t want it any other way. I strive to build a positive relationship with every dog that I groom. If they could talk, they would tell you that I’m the one who kisses their head, snuggles them close, and sings to them while they get pampered!
